Overview of 2020 Kunshan Calligraphy Exhibition, Creation, and Theoretical Achievements

Exhibition category;

1. The Municipal Calligraphy Association and the High tech Zone Cultural and Sports Station jointly hosted the first Kunshan City Copywriting Exhibition. This exhibition received 278 works from 195 authors, and 110 works were finally exhibited in two batches at the Yushan Art Museum.

2. Hosted the 5th Kunshan China Calligraphy Association Member Works Exhibition, receiving a total of 75 works and exhibiting 50 works.

3. Jointly hosting the Cheng Gongyi Seal Cutting Exhibition with the High tech Zone Cultural and Sports Station, exhibiting over 200 works.

4. The Yushan Caotang Elegant Collection Poetry Union - Huo Guoqiang's Calligraphy Exhibition was held at Jiangsu Art Museum.

The 809 Old Calligraphy Exhibition was held at the Yushan Art Museum.

6. Zhang Bin's calligraphy exhibition was held at the Liu Haisu Art Museum in Changzhou, and the calligraphy sketch exhibition was exhibited at Tinglin Garden.

7. The Qionghua Art Garden Bimonthly Exhibition - Lv Zhaocheng Seal Cutting Exhibition and Zhou Jie Calligraphy Exhibition were exhibited at the Kunshan Library.

8. Lv Zhaocheng's Seal Cutting Exhibition was exhibited at Changzhou Liu Haisu Art Museum.

9. Magnificent Jiangshan - Ju Yongliang Calligraphy Exhibition was exhibited in Zhenjiang, Yangzhou, Nanjing, and Suqian respectively.

10. Participated in hosting the joint exhibition of hard brush calligraphy in Kunshan and Jiangyin.

11. Participated in and hosted the third "Tinglin Cup" calligraphy competition for primary and secondary school students in the city.

The Ni Xiaozhou Calligraphy Experimental Exhibition was held in Ba Cheng.

13. Participated in hosting the "Kunshan Road to a High Level and Comprehensive Well-off" book, beauty, and photography exhibition, with 65 member works exhibited.

Creative category

1. The works of Lu Jiaheng and Wang Jinchun participated in the Jiangsu Calligraphy National Award and Lanting Award winning author works exhibition.

2. Zhou Yi's works won the Anhui Calligraphy Award, the third place in the running script group of "Yushan Asking Questions - Young and Middle aged calligrapher Nomination Exhibition of Jiangsu Calligraphy Academy", and the first prize in the "China Hengmei Huadu Cup" National Calligraphy Competition.

3. Zhang Bin's works won the 3rd Jiangsu Calligraphy Award, the first prize in the running script group of "Yushan Asking Questions - Young calligrapher Nomination Exhibition of Jiangsu Calligraphy Academy", and the creation award of Suzhou Zhang Xu Award. Joined the fourth National Calligraphy Exhibition of the Wang Xizhi Award and the first National Calligraphy and Seal Cutting Exhibition of the Zhang Bi Cup. I was recommended by the Provincial Book Association to attend the 10th Provincial Congress with honor.

4. Huo Zhengbin's works were selected into the candidate list of the seal cutting team of "Yushan Wenwen - Young calligrapher Nomination Exhibition of Jiangsu Calligraphy Academy".

5. Dai Xiaobing's works were exhibited at the 5th Orthodox Calligraphy Exhibition organized by the China Calligraphy Association.

6. Lu Qin's works were exhibited at the 5th Youth Calligraphy Works Exhibition organized by the China Calligraphy Association.

7. Gu Gong's works participated in the "Beauty and Harmony - Second National Art Museum Calligraphy Exhibition" and the "Fighting Against the Epidemic and Feeling Full of Rongcheng" National Calligraphy Master Works Invitation Exhibition.

8. The works of Zhou Ji, Zhang Bin (from Jinyang), Wang Yanling, Zhang Xiping, and Lv Qin were exhibited at the Jiangsu Provincial Anti epidemic Theme Calligraphy Exhibition.

The works of 21 members, including Lu Jiaheng and Wang Qing, were included in the "Collection of Calligraphy Works to Pay tribute to the White Clothed Warriors of Jiangsu Province in Hubei".

10. Cao Yan's work won the award at the 12th Jiangsu Province Newcomer Exhibition. 19 people including Su Xu, Chen Si, and Wang Shaoyun participated in the exhibition, and our city's overall performance ranked first among all districts and cities in Suzhou.

11. The works of Lv Qin, Yin Min, Yang Jian, Zhang Hua, Chen Huafeng, and Wang Yanling were exhibited at the 3rd Jiangsu Calligraphy Award.

12. Lu Qin's works won the silver medal in the second Yangtze River Delta Women's Calligraphy and Painting Competition, Yin Yuexia's works won the bronze medal, and works by Si Yanling, Cao Yan, Jin Ju, and Qiu Qingxia were exhibited.

Song Honggen's works won the third prize in the first Jiangsu Province Retired Soldiers Calligraphy Competition, and Li Xiaobin's works were exhibited.

14. Works by Lu Jiaheng, Gu Gong, Wang Jinchun, Zhang Bin, Huo Zhengbin, and Zhou Yi participated in the award-winning calligrapher works exhibition of the Suzhou Calligraphy Association.

15. The works of Chen Fengzhen and Wang Jinchun were exhibited at the Anti Epidemic Exhibition organized by the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Agricultural and Labor Party.

16. Zhang Xiping's work won the Excellence Award of the First National tea culture Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition of North Tea Town Cup, and was included in the National Major Calligraphy and Calligraphy Exhibition.

17. Chen Huafeng's works were exhibited at the 3rd Dongzi Cup National Calligraphy Exhibition organized by the Hebei Calligraphy Association and the 2nd Anhui Calligraphy Biennale.

The works of Xu Yi and Si Yanling were exhibited at the 5th Suzhou Jinjihu Biennale.

19. Yin Min's works were selected into the regular script group candidate list of "Yushan Wenwen - Young calligrapher Nomination Exhibition of Jiangsu Calligraphy Academy".

20. The works of Zhang Awu, Han Ye, Zhu Xuelin, Xia Sheng, Zhang Linhua, Xu Yi, and Zhang Zhifu were exhibited at the Jiangsu Jilin Hard Pen Calligraphy Joint Exhibition.

21. Zhu Xuelin's works were exhibited at the National Grand Calligraphy Exhibition, the 4th "Zhongyandangshan Cup" National Grand Calligraphy Exhibition, the 2nd "Bao'an Cup" National Hard Pen Calligraphy Competition, the 5th "Pen and Ink Pioneer Cup" National Hard Pen Calligraphy Competition, and the "Lanting Cup" National Hard Pen Calligraphy Fine Exhibition. They won the second prize in the 3rd "Hero Cup" Chinese Pen Calligraphy Competition.

22. Zhang Ah Wu's works were exhibited at the National Grand Calligraphy Exhibition and won the silver medal in the "West Lake Cup" National Hard Pen Calligraphy Competition.

23. Yang Fengqing's works won the gold medal in the second "West Lake Cup" China Hard Pen Calligraphy Competition and the excellent award in the first "Wenweng Cup" National Hard Pen Calligraphy Competition.

24. The works of Zhang Bin (from Jinyang) were exhibited in the 4th National Calligraphy Competition of "Chinese Dream Calligraphy Sunrise".

Theoretical achievements

1. Yu Jianliang's "Research on Wang Xuehao" won the first prize of the Suzhou Municipal People's Government Copyright Award, "Gu Yanwu's Calligraphy Research" won the third prize of the 7th Kunshan Philosophy and Social Science Excellent Achievement Award, the second prize of the 15th Suzhou Philosophy and Social Science Achievement Award, and the second prize of the Copyright Award issued by the Suzhou Municipal People's Government The third prize of the 16th Outstanding Achievement Award in Social Science awarded by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province. Received the theoretical award of the Suzhou Calligraphy Association Zhang Xu Award. The paper "A Humble Opinion on Shanghai Style Calligraphy and Painting and Yangtze River Delta Culture" participated in the Yangtze River Delta academic seminar and made an exchange speech, which was included in the collection of papers.

2. Gu Gong's paper "The Cultural Context and Exemplary Core of Calligraphy in the Yangtze River Delta" was published and included in the collection of papers at the "Integrity and Innovation - Suzhou Lecture Hall for the Development of Calligraphy in the Yangtze River Delta". The paper "Manlang Nanshan and Beishan - Yang Weizhen's Art Activities in Huzhou" was published at the 5th Regional Art History Research Seminar and included in the collection of papers.

3. Shen Jiang's paper "A Study on the Painting Art and Communication of Lu Shulun, a Hermit from Jiangnan, the Descendant of Southern Buddhism" was published in the second issue of "Chinese Calligraphy and Painting" in 2020, and "A Study of Peng Yunzhang's" Remuneration of Shi Qiao's Poems "was published in the second issue of" Calligraphy "in 2020.

4. Lu Yuhua's "Examination of Zhang Xian's Three Inscriptions and Postscript on the Spring Dawn Scroll of Mountains and Rivers" was published in the fifth issue of the journal "Art Work" of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in 2020.
